Coaches
Ryan Murphy has been coaching swimming for 21 years. First with the Judson Area Aquatic Club for thirteen of those years, and then with Judson High School since 2016 and the Olympia Otters from 2017 to 2021.
Ryan believes that swimming can be a path to the fundamentals of success. In order to be a successful swimmer, a child needs not just technical skill or athletic ability, but determination, foresight, comprehension, teamwork and self-awareness. Ryan is excited for the new season and to share with his daughters, Zelda and Violet, a love for swimming! GO CROCS!
Darien began swimming for Judson High School his Junior year and went on to swim for Tennessee Southern before continuing his studies here at UTSA next year. He has been an outstanding coach previously for the Olympia Otters and works at the Schertz YMCA as a lifeguard and swim lesson instructor.

I believe swimming is an important skill and amazing way to stay active. As it provides children an entertaining way to stay active, while also teaching them the importance of being on time, dedication, and the ability to work individually and in group setting.
